This is an amazing story and a great museum to visit. Check out the City Market on an early Saturday morning, tour the Steamboat Arabia Museum and then come back out to grab some great food at Carollo's Deli or Cascone's Grill.
I've been through that museum several times, but about 20 years ago. Don't remember anything about champagne and cognac, probably because I was more interested in the dead mule at that time.

Yeah, I've been through it too about 20 years ago and my reaction was "meh". I need to go back now that I'm an adult. Such a cool exhibit.
