My first thought was "fuel, duh", but was promptly proven wrong.

Yeah, that was my first thought since I'd heard that Southwest locked in gas prices for something like 10 years and the other airlines were laughing at them. Till fuel prices jumped.
Turns out that is only a small part of it. Very enlightening. Glad you liked it, bro.
