After KATE UPTON landed the cover of the "Sports Illustrated" swimsuit issue, a casting agent from Victoria's Secret said, quote, "We would never use [her]. [It would be] too obvious."
She added, quote, "She's like a Page 3 Girl. She's like a footballer's wife, with the too-blonde hair and that kind of face that anyone with enough money can go out and buy."
And here, finally, is Kate's response . . . quote, "I'm doing fine in my career, I don't need to walk down their runway so it's all good. She can think that and I can think whatever I want about her."
As for the "footballer's wife" comment, Kate says, quote, "Gisele's a football player's wife. Gisele's in that category so I'm good." (--Gisele was also a longtime Victoria's Secret model. Well played, Kate. Now get back into my dreams where you belong.)
