Dark-Fired Tobacco Barn

If you have never had the privilege of smelling a dark-fired tobacco barn in late October, you should jump in your truck and visit Western Kentucky right now. It is the essence of fall. Men should wear the scent it produces, its like a camp fire of hard oaks with malty notes and fine cigars. If you do not like the smell you should get out, grow a pair, and then revisit the subject. Unless you want Hemmingway-esque men to smack you around as they drink their bourbon.

Grandparents were tobacco farmers in Newport, NC I remember how the tobacco barns smelled and how that smell had such a calming effect. Reminds me of fall also. I miss their old farm.
