Actually the bottom line is that the families are stupidly taking out the loans. America has forgotten what it means to wait or even forgo if it isn't affordable. America has gotten very good at finding someone else to blame for our own poor decisions.
Educations can be had for much cheaper than what major universities charge. And they don't have to be paid for with loans.
