Pin it! The Spin and Fold (SF) lamp series is one of Vim & Vigor’s latest designs. It was born from Tsui and Kozlovskaya’s passion of crafts and skills that are usually done by hand. Their countless hours in the shop during their school days at RISD and Parsons, molded the concept for the ICFF Studio award winning Spin and Fold series. The lamps are constructed from traditional spun metal, but with an added piece of innovation. Instead of cutting the spun metal symmetrically, they use a cutting tool that punches a “key hole” that is used to secure the folded lampshade in place. This method gives the Spin and Fold lamps a fresh perspective from each angle it’s viewed from.
