Pin it! Lodge of Yatsugatake is a minimal home located in Negano, Japan, designed by MDS. Lodge is located at the foot of the Southern Alps overlooking Yatsugatake. The fan-like home is arranged toward the South in order to utilize as much natural sunlight as possible in the winter. The architects wanted to assimilate the interior with the natural surrounding landscapes. As a result, wooden panels can be seen throughout the home’s ceilings, floors, and outlining of the walls.
