Very unfortunate for the kid, because the play should have been called dead as soon as he gained possession of the ball. The refs did place the ball where it should have been, on the 7 yard line where he recovered the ball. The whole play was a mistake by everyone on the field. The kid for running the wrong way, the other team for tackling him instead of letting him go, and the refs for not blowing it dead when they should have.
