Very true. Thankfully, I've read Galatians! Galatians 2:16: "Know that a person is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no one will be justified."

The unfortunate reality is that 'most' not all Christians believe only in works as a means to salvation. They pick and chose which sin they focus their judgement on and who is going to hell because of their sin. When god clearly states that we need to love him 1st, then love our neighbor like we love ourself. Concepts missing in today's Christianity.
Unless that is that most Christians have an forgiving, unloved, unworthy view of self, I guess this then shows why Christianity is so legalistic.

Lewis has some great things to say about society and its problems.
Right on Mike!
It is disheartening that so many don't grasp the central message of Christianity... I don't know about "most" or not... but it is definitely too many
