This is an interesting theory. But I think it bears mentioning that any sort of "Transfer" rather than a transplant, is simply making a copy. When your body dies you will die, while a copy of your "software" continues running on a new platform. I can't really see that as immortality. For full disclosure, I believe in the possibility of an afterlife, but I think the only gauranty of "immortality" is reproduction. This allows your genetic material to move forward past your own death as well as your world view in the education of your offspring.
