Amen, Cody! Our culture is pathetic. TV shows and movies try to make porn seem normal and healthy. It is a plague. It is sad if voters make a decision based upon their access to porn. Let us not become like Europe. I’m definitely for Romney for many reasons.
I agree that porn is damaging to the soul, mind, and relationships, but I strongly disagree that the president should get involved. 1st, I believe it is more of a state level issue, not a national issue. 2nd, porn doesn't ruin men, men ruin themselves. Yes porn is rampant on the Internet, but you don't have to visit sites that have it as pop up adds, and or visit porn site. Men make the decision to visit and partake in porn, nobody grabbed a man and forced him to watch porn on their computers. It is a basic urge within man to procreate, but as moral individuals or even more likely a Christian you should be able to control those urges, and protect your own heart and soul. That said I do also believe that the crackdown on child porn should continue, with strong penalties.
This is the reason that libertarians are dejected by the Republican party. If the GOP really cared about personal liberty and freedoms, they would never mention these sorts of topics.
I'm in favor of cracking down on porn. Maybe it's not the president's job to do it, but it's got to happen somehow. Yes, it is the men who make the decision to view porn that destroy their lives, but the average age of a male who first views porn is 12 years old or younger. One stupid decision from a kid that doesn't fully comprehend what he is doing could ruin his life. I don't see any good that comes from porn, and so it becomes a poison. What good is it to have poison in our house, even if we should be able to control our urges to drink the poison. Sex is good, and beautiful, but porn distorts that idea, degrades women, and often leads to much worse things. Why not get rid of it? I don't see any good reasons not to.

I hope he gets in and I hope he does. Porn is destroying us as men, and everyone we care about.
