My mom has a 2012 and its a piece of crap. Gets about 12 mpg and has spent more time in the shop than on the road. The main issue is the progressive/selective engine timing. The chain slips about every 3 months and the car dies. The in-dash stereo/computer is also garbage, loses power and drops Bluetooth connection frequently. Its gotten so bad that the dealership will not even service the vehicle even though its under warranty. Shes been dealing with their legal department for the last 9 months and it looks like GM is going to buy the car back plus pay for hassle and rental cars she had to have to avoid civil court. Google the timing issues for GMC Terrain and Chevrolet Equinox.

Wow! That's terrible. Is this her first GM vehicle, or has she owned them before?
