This stuff was designed for use with firearms but makes everything else work better, too. I got an old crockpot and am using the "dip everything" method but it was impressive how nice the various tools I'm using to fish the parts out have become. My thought is that if I can feel a difference it the operation of some pliers it should be making a heck of a difference with guns. Heck, I even took apart my rusty old reloader for a dip and the darn thing came out showroom new! Whenever I get a new hand tool or mechanical part I'll be dipping that thing before it ever gets used - like I did with the Ruger LC9 and SR9c. It's the only way to go!

I got a gallon container of the paste at the Ventura Gun Show. FrogLube.com has a list of dealers, I believe, and it seems like I've seen it at MidwayUSA or Brownells, too, but only the smaller size bottles.

Oh, yeah, get your semi-auto barrel good and soaked and de-leading is no problem whatsoever. With the ammo shortage I'm casting all my practice bullets, saving the good stuff for the Zombie Apocalypse. I suffer more leading here than in my low-velocity cowboy guns and a dip in the hot FL and a jag through the barrel pushes it right out. No harsh chemicals!
