It's probably because they weren't telling everyone about it.
pretty funny, sometimes the ignorance is not bliss, when it bites you in the a$$.
Pretty funny, but the scientist in me has to point out that the low life span was due to high infant mortality rates and lack of modern medicine (injuries that now need only Neosporin would prove fatal then).
