If you're gonna go Vortex, go with the Red Dot only version... It's more durable and an overall better product.
And the other guy was right, as far as RDS goes, Aimpoint is king. 8 years of battery life on some versions and combat tested and proven by US Troops world wide.
That said, I like Vortex Optics. I have a 1-4x30 Vortex PST with amazing glass. Their warrant is pretty hard to beat as well (no questions asked replacement).
Unfortunately my budget doesn't allow me to afford a Aimpoint. And from my research I found the red/green dot to be the better product. Thanks for the comment!
