This is trash and cricket is gay, and being gay is not manly. By definition it is effeminate. That joke is hilarious, and keep non manly things off of this website.
We now live in a society where people are actively looking for something to be "offended" by. Even worse, we live in a society buried in double standards. Whites can't say the "n word", yest blacks can call whites "cracker" and use the "n word" all they want with no consequence. America needs to man up and, pardon the pun, but those who consider themselves part of gay American need to man up as well. Because we all know that when we see a grown man in a parade prancing around in fish net stockings, wearing lipstick, high heels and a thong that it's totally natural.....
Manliness is defined by character, CHAM3LEON, not someones sexual orientation. I know several gay men who I am sure are more man than you will ever be. Some things on this site are obviously not going to fall into your childishly small scope of what it means to be a man, you may consider spending your time elsewhere.
As far as Mr. Alexander's apology is concerned, while it may have been notably long, I see a man who has taken time and careful consideration about the impact of his actions. I thoroughly respect him for his efforts on examining exactly why people took issue with it instead of writing it off as "people looking for a reason to be offended".
I'm sure one day there will be a time and a place where jokes like this will be a relative non-issue, at the moment though, we're not there yet.

Hello CHAM3, I also think the joke was only a...joke after all and maybe the apology was a bit overdone... almost like your comment.
