Every day we wake up, get ready for the day and head off to our job - whether that job is work or school, it doesn't seem to matter. For the most part, our daily routine is just that, routine. We take the same roads, see the same cars, hit the same traffic lights and park in the same parking space. Why would we ever take a different route? It’s not an adventure, after all. It’s just a commute.

When you got in your car this morning, what stopped you from driving in the opposite direction of the office. You probably didn’t even think about the options you could have taken; something deep inside said, “Get to work, and do it fast!” Then your autopilot took control, grabbed the wheel and drove you to work - just like it did yesterday.

Save the routine for the office - let the emails and meetings bear the monotonous weight of the day. Tomorrow you should try something different. Defy convention, and seek out what you never knew existed. Look for a place to relax, a place to eat, somewhere to go on your next date, or even just a place to walk your dog.

All you have to do is take a new path, even if it runs parallel to the old one.
