No offense to my fellow man here on this site, but I'm going to have to pull out my BS card on this one. Apparently the guy didn't even have any tools with him? How exactly did he lift the engine?
My problem with this story isn't necessarily the plausibility of carrying it out, but the stated reason for doing it. He was afraid his car would be stolen or vandalized, so apparently the best solution for this problem was to vandalize and steal it himself.
