Its also a great way to keep up to date with what's happening when things go wrong, remember #ashcloud when that volcano popped its top in Iceland back in 2010?
Twitter is also one of the best ways to lodge a complaint with your airline. Tweet them with their handle and watch how quickly they get back to you.
