What became widely known as "pink slime" was incorrectly reported and blown out of proportion by the media. Yep, they lied, and the public bought every word of it. Imagine that.

It's because the media is not culpable for their own malpractice. They can hurt anyone they want with impunity. Say they get rid of "pink slime." Great. More meat goes to waste, beef prices go up, average people get hurt. Good work.
