I own one of these. It was stolen from me. Fifteen years later, it was recovered by the police and returned to me! Still had my handloads in the mags.

The 1911 is a great weapon. I have a SA Defender (factory compensated) model.

It's a decent piece. But stack it up to a Kimber and your Springfield world will be shattered.

Does Kimber even make a standard, not that I'm aware of. And from what I've heard Kimbers are not all that, this from Kimber owners. I would glady put my Springer up against one, if you live in S. MS. I'll let you put your money where your pie hole is.

one of the better factory 1911's made. Kimbers are over priced junk with a reputation of breaking. SA's are solid and work with lots of after market support.
