Historical photos taken during Project Excelsior where Joseph Kittinger made the highest free fall jump from a high alt balloon from 102,800 feet (still a record) and before he entered the atmosphere, was just below the speed of sound (he still holds the speed record for fastest non-powered flight of a human). This guy had GUTS!
