Though I think the image is stark, I don't agree Chris. Men should be able to disagree civilly. If you don't like it you don't have to comment on it. However, if you disagree, maybe some discussion of why President Obama, who once taught constitutional law, is not destroying the constitution would be in order. Let's discuss, not suppress.

There are a 1,000 places on the web to argue about politics. This is supposed to be a place for manly things. A picture like that, about either party, is not manly, it's childish. I agree with you Chris.

Please understand, I'm not defending the picture, I don't like it, but I am for an open discussion of ideas. We're too segregated into what we already agree with on the internet.

That is pretty much a major root of the problem ahnyerkeester. Too many people 'men' rather pretend that something terrible is not happen and hope it goes away. Unfortunately it will not. Complacency will only bring about the end and the death to many more of our rights that have been won with blood.

The only statement this picture makes is a test of free speech. This is inflammatory nonsense. No different than comparing Obama to Hitler or Satan or whatever. People have the right to say stupid and/or made up things. In fact, some people make a very good living at it on TV and radio. We have to tolerate this crap in order to be free to have more thoughtful opinions.

Hear! Hear! hearingi! I find the Westboro morons distasteful but support their right to say ignorant things in public. That's why, as a career airman in the USAF I supported people's right to burn the US flag. I hate that they did it but I believe we need to defend the right for people to do it. Freedom can be so very annoying.

I think the most important thing to point out here is that President Obama wears much better tailored suits than the one he is depicted wearing here. Love him or leave him, the man's got style.

these comments are really amusing, ranging from self-appointed hall monitors lecturing on what shouldn't be posted here, to mentions of hitler, stalin, satan, and the westboro "babtist church".

i'm not interested in a political argument. i posted this because i thought it was a well-done depiction (ill-fitting suit aside) of what many across the political spectrum see as obama's disregard for the constitution.

here's an example from someone on the left: http://youtu.be/pBzz7aNh41w">http://youtu.be/pBzz7aNh41w

but cults are defensive. very hard to penetrate with reason. obama cultists are no exception.

The problem with politics is that, as regulars begin to take note of each other's leanings, it eventually bleeds into every damn post/comment section.

I'm by no means a complacent cultist. And I certainly make no apologies for my support of President Obama. But, jeesh. Can't we just have one site that doesn't turn into a left v. right-athon? Gentlemint is the best thing going and there are SO many other places to get your political argument on. Why here too?

Bottom line--I argue for a living. I come here to see neat stuff.

Just my $0.02. No disresepct intended to the original poster.

i agree. if you check my tacks, this one is one of perhaps 2 or 3 exceptions that have a political element. i really didn't expect it to generate this much response.

i am definitely not going to be posting articles etc with the purpose of engaging in political debate. i've done a lot of that and i'm burned-out.

it's interesting that this has stimulated more response than anything i've tacked here, including the incredible vid of a guy apparently achieving what man has been trying to achieve forever; to fly like a bird. that tack has been almost entirely ignored.

hit the magic moustache when you like something, don't hit it when you don't. pretty simple.

It's not about taking away people's right to post this sort of stuff, I just wanted to suggest that we try and avoid it.

We're all here because we like it and it's new enough that we have a hand in shaping how it looks. I would like it better if it didn't look like this - not the content of the picture but the tone of it.

Do what you'll do - I'm going to try and keep it positive.
