The "right to repair" factor is huge, and it's why I'm dragging my feet buying a new washing machine. When it acts up, it's fixable. With one of the new fancy ones, you can't tinker with it.
I also didn't know Tesla was so finicky about repairs, and it's yet another reason I'm leaning towards a Nissan Leaf.
