"After being sold in the early ‘70s, the car spent years in storage and had its engine stolen after a radiator meltdown. In frustration, the owner left Little Red on a relative’s farm in Texas, where it sat under a tree for more than 20 years"

I'd be disgusted if the engine out of this car was stolen as well. Probably not disgusted enough to park it under a tree for 20 YEARS!!!

I'm always baffled by people who acquire gems like this and let them go to pot. There was a guy who had a very nice Cessna 310 at Redding, Ca. airport. It sat, unused, for 20 years. Always, when asked if he'd sell it, he'd get mad and say "NO!" He liked telling people he owned an airplane. Now it is beyond salvage. Cars. Boats. Planes. Trains. If they're part of history, need to be saved.

Completely agree. The thing thats crazy about this is that with this car, someone could have put a similar engine in and been enjoying it for 20 years. Not even worrying about scratching it up or how collectible it is, just out on the road enjoying it. Even if that person had totaled it, it would be in better condition than it is. I can't even imagine how much enjoyment I would get out of driving a car like that every day.
