Watching this from as a licensed Ham operator. I have experience and use radio technology analogue/digital as a hobby. This is part of an interesting unlicensed part of the spectrum. I highly doubt you would be able to send any files of significance without a HUGE amount of time. What is your throughput? How many watts does it use for output? Hams have been doing stuff like this for years/decades. Things like APRS and Winlink are just a few. Those use cheap tech and are proven. This is a kickstarter campaign.
