I'm not enough of a Star Wars enthusiast to know if this is a good thing or if this is more akin to Fonzi jumping the shark.

Ha! Glen, I couldn’t agree more with your comment. I also don’t understand the fascination some people seem to have with this character. I would guess it’s the bounty hunter aspect, etc., but after last jedi... it’s going to take a Rogue One quality movie to get me to pay to watch this stuff again.

Yeah, I hear you. I'm not going to go out of my way to watch it. Or probably any of the other movies for that matter. It's not that I don't enjoy them, I'm just not *that* into them.

I think it's safe to bet that we will see "prequel" movies about each character. I'm looking forward to the Admiral Ackbar movie.

Ha! Sadly true. What they are (unwittingly) doing is creating a fertile environment for more spaceball type satirical movies.
But regarding Akbar...That I might actually be interested in. I always liked him.

Having just seen Solo I don't think there's enough material for a good Boba Fett movie. We got the back story in Attack of the Clones. I think that well is dry.
And yes, Solo was good. Ron Howard good.

Yes! I'm imagining the Mystery Science Theatre 3000 folk will have plenty of fodder with the Star Wars movies in a couple of decades...

You guys, I thought we *HAD* a Boba Fett origin movie in Star Wars: Attack of the Clones, and it was horrible. Wait. Disney could obliterate the prequels like they did Song of the South. Hey...

I'd have been so excited to see this in about 1998.
