This was a pretty fair assessment of the awesomeness and independence of the man.
At one point I was out to buy all the Burt Reynolds movies I could find. I only got about a dozen in. It's been a good ten years, but I feel the need to continue this task. White Lightning and Gator are two that I hadn't been able to track down but I think I'll actually use the internet this time and redouble my efforts.
Both have been purchased. Amazon is so obvious... but I started this well before I started using Amazon and just never shifted my thinking. Thanks for the reminder.
I think I may have to watch a few Archer's "Gator" episodes beforehand, just to prime the system.

If you are looking for the DVD version, I think White Lightning and Gator are available on Amazon.
I remember seeing White Lightning at a drive-in when I was a little kid. It is still one of my favorite Burt Reynolds movies.
