Out of those 10 I have only had the Oliva V, Padron 926 and the My Father No.1. I guess I need to go shopping.
In my opinion, thanks to Castro and the communist regime, the Cuban cigar is no longer the benchmark for comparison....

I've had four of those listed and all were good. My favorite non-Cuban though, is the Hoyo de Monterrey Excalibur.
I actually have never had a Cuban that I've liked (there certainly may be some, but I haven't run into them). Personally, I think the "Cuban" thing is overblown in the present. They may have made consistently great cigars in the early 20th century, but I think many of the really good growers took their seed to other countries when Cuba went commie. So you may actually be having a "Cuban" even though it's not marked as such, because it was made by a Cuban grower who fled to the Dominican Republic or somewhere.

I think I tried a Hoya de Monterrey early on, and it made me green. It was pretty full, and I was a young buck. I"ll have to give them a shot again.
I'd agree about the "Cuban" cigars... I doubt my palate could pick up on the differences, if there even were any at this point.

On that list I really want to try the Andalusian Bull.
I've always found Patron's overrated... just my 2cents.
