That was SO freaking cool. The reaction of the spectators was just as enjoyable as the performance...because that was amazing!! I was not expecting it to be such a tight and musically pleasing performance.
So that aria is my favorite in all of the opera I know (and I'm not big on opera at all) but it's one that my kids actually request that I play for them on YouTube...to the point that they actually have a favorite version of it. Do you mind if, here in the comments section, I link to a performance of the actual aria just to provide context for what this whistling Virtuoso has done?
So this is my kids' favorite version. It's a bit overdone on the acting, but that's probably why they like it...who knows maybe that's how you are supposed to do opera. That aside, this lady can hit some notes.
