In three words..."class action lawsuit." Follow the money.
Which is what makes me mad about this rather than chuckle at it.
"Nominal Sizes" is the term for 2x4 that is actually 1 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches. This is the industry standard.
And has been for more years than anyone can remember.
Lumber has been 1/2" smaller than labelled forever. What idiot doesn't know that?

Ok, so now the price of lumber is going to go up to pay for all the new signs that have to be made.
