In the center of Bavaria, high in the Alps, an hour's drive from Munich, Garmisch-Partenkirchen is best known Germany winter tourism center, and one of the best in the world. This center is famous for having hosted the Winter Olympics 1936th and the World Cup in Alpine skiing 1978th year.
