Sympathy because I personally think the drinks are stupid and I'm sure it's overly complicated, but contempt because that's life. Suck it up, do the job well, make yourself better, and you won't have to keep doing that job. Part of me wonders if it's really that bad or is this just more whining from generation snowflake?
Plus, Starbucks made up terms for portion size annoys me greatly.

I had a cup of coffee at Starbucks once. It didn't taste good. Haven't gone back.

59 grams of sugar in the 16 oz. size. That is 15 teaspoons in one beverage. 76 grams of sugar in the 24 oz size. That is 19 teaspoons of sugar.

Sweet moses. I think I'd prefer ice cream at that point.

But just as wine only turns to alcohol if it's left open, a la Lucille Bluth, adding caffeine to a drink burns off the sugar calories by speeding up the metabolism.

+ 1 for the Bluth reference.

Because I travel a lot for work and because Starbucks are ubiquitous, I've spent a lot of time in them. I made it a goal this year to try more Mom and Pop places for my more caffeine intake.
I have not been disappointed.
I have not missed Starbucks.
I actually deleted my Starbucks app.
My life is better.
