J Giles himself has passed away. Keep your eyes on bowling balls just in case. This was my favorite J Giles song. Yes, I'm that weird.

True Story.
1980-81-ish was with my church youth group at Knott's Berry Farm. We walk in and hear this band playing. Next thing we know we're hearing J. Geils playing "Love Stinks". So there we are, a bunch of die hard Conservative Baptist kids from the Nor Cal/Sierra Nevada town of Pollock Pines where rock and roll was viewed as a reason to dance which was basically sex standing up, rocking out to J. Geils Band at Knott's Berry Farm. Word got back to our parents (mine via the Aunt and Uncle I was living with at the time, story for another day) who basically thought my very soul was in danger of the fires of hell.
It wasn't. Still isn't. Love Stinks is still on my iPod in medium rotation.
