Had some of these a couple of Saturdays ago at Joe's Kansas City. It's a little misleading that they feature Jack Stack and Gates in this video. Joe's ends are lightyears beyond those places. I'd like to try Arthur Bryant's sometime as they are the originators. That said, it's hard to go someplace else when you know you can just go to the champ every time.

If and when I make it back up to KC, I plan to hit several of these places. Check it off my BBQ bucket list.

I grew up in KC but I left in 1970. I don't remember BBQ being such a big deal back then. Next time I visit I plan a trip to Joe's to see what everyone is talking about.

Dang. Now I'm hungry for BBQ.
I've had Joe's. It was excellent. I've seen burnt ends show up in some Texas joints but they were either too fatty or too burnt.
I like how Kansas City, Texas and Memphis all have their own spins on BBQ. Makes for a wonderful variety of meat comas!
