Tony Kern has an interesting book and take on the B52 crash. Unfortunately, Tony Kern now thinks any pilot who flies in the low level environment whether civilian or military, is a dangerous pilot and will crash and die. He was brought in to the USFS to bring about a 0% accident rate which even he admitted was statistically impossible without grounding all planes and never flying again.
He has some good takes on mitigating risks which I've used quite a bit. I just have a problem with his end game.
