In Kansas City, Google Fiber has mixed results

I never understood how having super fast internet would make your town a "tech hub". As someone who builds web applications, I couldn't understand any benefits of super fast Internet in web app development. From reading this article they basically come out and say the only thing it has done is associate Kansas City with the Google brand and that is valuable. I guess.
