Suck, squeeze, bang, blow. I'm surprised at how many people these days don't understand the basic internal combustion engine. Like their iPhones and apps, they just expect it to work when they turn it on.
Then again, they've mostly been indoctrinated that the internal combustion engine is eevilll!
