My first reaction is to poke fun. However, I'm going to change my approach in the spirit of my 2017 goal of listening and finding some common ground. It seems we both like to wear t-shirts.

I was, but I had to say no. I singed off 1/4 of my eyelashes a few weeks ago in a broiling incident. They'll grow back (hopefully).

Might I recommend Maybelline's line of fake lashes?

Not sure this is the image Maybelline was going for:

Because that's kind of what comes to my mind when a real man to wears makeup.

Ah! That color really brings out Mel Gibson's eyes.

And it was a bit more masculine than some alternate options

So, in the spirit of listening and crossing bridges to communicate with people.... Here is a feminist that I find myself agreeing with on a good number of things. I know there are multiple waves and schools feminism and that as a label, "feminism" could mean a range of perspectives; I rarely if ever have agreed with any feminist about much. But what she discusses here has sunk into my head and now it's the only thing I think of when I see the Trans issues or the feminization of males like the above.

That's a really interesting take on the issue. If a kid insisted that they wanted their arm chopped off, a doctor wouldn't do it, but gender identify somehow became different. However, I wonder if a cultural reversal is possible (insisting that the "wet noodles" turn back into heroes) or if history will just continue to repeat itself regardless.

I wonder about the same thing. I'm not optimistic considering the education quality of most kids (exposure to Enlightenment ideas, training in critical thought, and a lack of emphasis on literary classics of the past).
However, I take some comfort in the fact that there is always a counter-culture and self-education is more easy and a liable today that it has ever been. For those who search....

I remember when Huey Lewis and The New wore makeup on their album cover in the 80's. What was more shocking was when the president of our church youth group wore eyeliner. He was immediately mocked (as rightly he should have been) and asked if he was going to go all the way and emasculate himself?
As to a discussion I was involved with on FB about women growing out their underarm/leg hair because it was "natural" I commented that should this trend continue, the confusion of gender and gender-roles in society, men will be clean shaven, head to toe and made up like porcelain dolls and women will be the hairy beasts we associate with neanderthals.
Personally I don't care if a guy wears make up and wants to look like a girl. Just don't tell me it's the norm. It's not. Not even at the height of Roman civilization was it the norm. And we all know what happened to Rome. Hairy legged woman...I mean...barbarians tore it from without because it had been weakened from within.
A society that tells little boys they are horrible BECAUSE they are boys reaps a society when you have boys who shave, wear lumberjack clothes but wouldn't know which end of an axe to use, wear women-styled skinny jeans, wear makeup, perfume (not cologne...most men's cologne these days smells kind of girly IMO), and generally act very feminine. Why? Because they've been taught that who they are, how they were born, is inherently evil. And Camille says that in her brilliant argument above.
No matter what progressives and radicals say, men are men and women are women. External changes do not make the man a woman or a woman a man. We are designed differently for different and complementary purposes. And to continue to call men evil because of their external appendages is both hateful and ignorant. The few who spoil it for the others are not the norm.
I really need to step away from the interwebs today. Getting spooled up.
Ya'll have a good day!
