It is definitely different. Price point is high (about $400-500 than its ceramic competitors) but it has features besides the durability that are attractive. I have a Blaze Professional gas grill in my outdoor kitchen and the quality cannot be beat. Their products are built to last.

Accidentally cracking a ceramic grill is the number one fear because it really can't be repaired. For that reason alone, it might be worthy of consideration but only if you have it in a movable cart/nest that creates more risk of accidents happening. I sold my Big Green Egg and purchased a Primo XL to replace it. Since it is stationary and covered on my patio (and given the fact I do not have children), I think my risk is low. However, too many beers and/or a freak hail storm could change all of that.
