Someone tell me, what good is Stormtrooper armor?

It looks pretty sweet, that's for sure. Outside of that I'm reaching.

My point is that a 95-lb waif with a baton totally took down a grown man in body armor. She hit his helmet and out he went. He would have been better protected with a motorcycle helmet.
This is what happens when the Empire has to issue an RFP for body armor and then go with the lowest bidder.
