The Vietnam Notebook
Posted by daemon from www.youtube.com
A man shares an adventure he took with his son and reflects on the passage of time.
I came across this video quite by accident and thought others might enjoy it as well.

Was it just me, or did anyone happen to notice at 2:05 into the video he shows that he managed to sneak a razorblade onto an airplane? LOL

I had to watch it a second time. That really was a good video. I wish I had had a chance to do something like that with my dad.

I caught that one too after I backed it up. I thought that was a pretty slick idea.

You should check out his daily vlog on YouTube. He did it virtually every day for a year and a half and just suspended it last week. Every single one is entertaining, refreshing, exciting, innovative.
The guy is a genius.

P.S. His wife and oldest son (in the Vietnam movie) occasionally show up in his daily vlogs and both seem to be virtually brain dead. It's bizarre. They seem to be completely void of personality, whatsoever. I'm trying to figure it out. Maybe because they don't like the attention from the camera? Maybe Casey's big personality just leaves a void in comparison? I don't know. But I'm always annoyed when they show up on camera.
What do you think?

I'd only heard of this guy, but never seen any of his videos. This was fantastic.
If you're wanting more info on why he's quitting his YouTube channel, here's a bit more information:

I love how he neglects to mention that he sold his company to CNN when he shut down his Vlog. Like he is doing it simply because he is tired of it and will fearlessly drop it and go to the next thing, whatever that is. The guy had just gotten a likely massive check from CNN and as part of that deal had to shut down the Vlog. Of course, that doesn't fit the story he wants to tell so he doesn't bring it up. I like this guy's stuff but he's also a little shady in the narrative he tells about himself.

Yeah, he does a really good job of positioning himself.

I never realized he was a "thing". I think the only work of his I ever saw was him snowboarding while being towed through NYC a few years ago.
