This is a shameless plug, but I have to get the word out there somehow. My fiance and I started a new Etsy store. Thanks for looking, and I apologize if you feel I wasted your time.

I think it's pretty cool when guys put their own stuff up here. Things members here have done, built, etc., that is interesting. It's guys pushing their own stuff all the time that bothers me. Clearly not you. You're making something, crafting it with your hands. That's honorable.

The guys here who only post cyber content and usually only other people superior information...those guys are the opposite. (Although there are hardly any of those rascals here as they tend to get called on it.)

I've seen some of that myself. At least I left a little disclaimer comment calling myself out on my shameless plug. Like you I do feel it was okay since it is crafted items that I build in my own small garage workshop.

My fiance has so many interesting ideas on things she thinks people would like to own. She has given me a small list of things she would like me to build for our Etsy store, which is fine by me because I love working out in my shop on my free time. My shop is where I set free my "toxic masculinity" LOL

That sounds like an awesome setup. I hope you're able to grow the business and the workshop. It would be a dream to have a decently equipped shop and the time to spend working in it.

Personally, I would be happy to just make enough money on Etsy to pay for my hobby. Hardwoods can get pretty expensive. I make stuff for friends and family all the time, but I only charge them the price of the wood I use. I'd like to make enough to keep my shop stocked with wood, and not have to run to Aura Hardwoods for every new project I start.
