Bodie is worth the effort of the extra drive off 395 if you're out there. I hate telling people about my favorite place in the world, the Eastern Sierras of Ca, but Bodie is a real treasure.

Bodie is only a 3 hour drive from where I live. I've been thinking about visiting Bodie for years, but for some reason I have yet to pay a visit.
