I think these "scientists" theories are about as sound as the Daily Mail's proofreading.

"The winds created by the so-called air bombs are so powerful they generate 45ft high winds." Waves, possibly?

I do see clouds that someone crudely superimposed some red hexagons on, but was hoping to find some actual data to back up these claims of "air bombs".

"Still, while these clouds are cool and weird, they're unlikely to be the big Bermuda Triangle explanation that lots of people have been searching for. [Update: Cerveny now tells USA Today that the Science Channel special took him out of context. ""They made it appear as if I was making a big breakthrough or something. Sadly [that's] not the case."]"

This looks to be more of a speculative question being formed into an incoherent argument with no actual data to back the claim, as most such articles about unexplained phenomenon and conspiracies nominally are.

Like you, I was disappointed when i first read it. I was really hoping for something more scientific but also held out hopes that it was actually aliens. Until they prove otherwise, aliens will always be my top choice.

As I read it, I felt like I was proofreading a junior higher's last minute, grasping attempt at a science project he/she completely forgot about, racing the night before it's due to come up with SOMETHING.
