A line early into the article caught my eye: Free speech, privacy and the role of our constitution in ensuring individual rights have been absolutely absent in this election. I noticed this as it seems like all those running, even Johnson to a degree are vying for the "progressive/intervening-government-in-our-lives" vote with little attention paid to the "Classical Liberal" voter. But I suppose things have been trending in this direction for as far back as perhaps 2000. Hoping the trend reverses in time, but I digress. God bless the public library, as crazy as some of its patrons may seem to be, it does play a vital public role.
