Apparently we owe a debt of gratitude to Mr. Momofuku Ando. Mr. Ando worked tirelessly in his shed in the late 1950s obsessed with figuring out how to dry noodles so that they could be cooked on demand. His creation lead to the ramen we know and (I for one still) love today. But he didn't just create ramen, he also came up with the idea of selling it in a cup, making it even more convenient. Well done Mr. Ando, well done.
