In the mid 80's, I worked for IBM briefly in college as a rep at the campus computer store. They issued me a portable computer that was the size of a piece of luggage. At the time, I thought it was cool but man, was it heavy and hard to lug around.

And with it was born the name "Luggable PC". :) I forget which one but there was a "portable" that had a lead acid battery. Thing was a monster.
