The Bon Scott years are my favorites. Mainly because that is when i first started getting into AC/DC. However, Brian Johnson gets a big tip of the hat as well.
I have been pleasantly surprised at how well Axl has been doing with this gig. I thought it would be a train wreck but from the videos I have seen, he is holding his own.
I'm a dyed in the wool Bon Scott guy myself. I would have first become familiar with Brian Johnson era AC/DC but it matters little because Bon Scott is THE MAN. Everything about that guy screams rock n roll. Brian Johnson did a nice job carrying on what Scott started but there is only one true AC/DC singer in my mind.
I have also been somewhat surprised that Axl has pulled off touring with AC/DC and done a very capable job of it. I mean, the guy went from being a complete diva about performances to fronting two headlining bands and doing so even with a broken leg. Pretty impressive change of work ethic.
