Stopped by the college the other day to check my mail. Needed to have my last pay stub and it was in my mail box. As I walked out of the building, in the middle of the quad I heard the national anthem playing from the football field and instinctively faced it and stood at attention till it was over.
This is not a bad thing to do. I don't begrudge the man who lay on the bench through the whole thing his choice. That right is what I fought for for 22 years of active duty.
